In the fourth quarter of 2024, Ireland saw interesting trends in the performance of top social apps on the Android platform. According to Sensor Tower, these apps displayed varied patterns in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE observed a notable fluctuation in weekly revenue, peaking at around $78K in mid-November. Downloads experienced a resurgence in late December, reaching approximately 6.5K, while active users showed a steady presence, ending the quarter at nearly 500K.

Threads maintained consistent download numbers, averaging around 4K to 6K weekly. Active users consistently grew, starting at about 132K and closing the quarter at over 170K.

Instagram saw a modest increase in weekly revenue, with a peak of approximately $3.9K in mid-December. Downloads remained stable, with a slight increase to 4.3K in late December, while active users hovered around the 500K mark throughout the period.

Facebook experienced a gradual decline in revenue, starting at $2.4K and closing at $2.1K. However, downloads spiked in late December to over 4K, and active users remained robust, ending the quarter at approximately 628K.

Bluesky showed a varied download trend, peaking at nearly 7K in mid-November. Active users increased significantly, reaching above 25K before tapering off to around 18K by the end of the quarter.
